11 more days until the Bud & Roo book launch. The count down begins.

26 Feb

So, today we begin our official countdown!

This week we are meeting with the manager of Waterstones to make final arrangements with the setting up.  And, Suzy is preparing our fliers to hand out.  I will start handing out a few this Saturday at the market and to local families I see passing at the City Centre.  I am sure I will be very annoying, but it’s all about selling yourself.  And, if you are going to market yourself these are the things you’ve got to do.

Wish us luck!

Have you really put yourself out there? I mean really…

Join a ‘Linked In’ network group- don’t under estimate the power of social media

1 Dec

Thanks to my ‘Linked In’ networking writing/author’s group I have learned a lot about the do’s and don’ts (still learning along the way as Suzy would say).

One way to start your PR/Marketing is 1) start a blog.  2) get on facebook, twitter and linked in. 3) join an interest group.  Whether you are a publisher, author, illustrator or designer (even a computer expert), join these groups on Linked In.  They share valuable information as well as possible valuable people who can get you where you need to go.

Don’t under estimate the power of social media.
